One of the sad things about being away from family is that Broxton doesn't get the chance to bake and do fun things like that with my mom.  I know that sounds sad, but the truth is that my mom doesn't bake anyways, so it really isn't like he is missing much.  I do wish that I baked and did things like that, as he does enjoy when we make a cake or something, but that is not very often. Growing up, I remember making cakes with my Nana and then getting to add the frosting at the end. When I saw the book, Baking Day at Grandma's, I thought it would be a cute book to read and I was not disappointed!   Baking Day at Grandma's Synopsis from Amazon:   A sugary sweet story perfect for families to

At least that is what it means to me these days.  I am all about staying in and enjoying movies at home. When we were invited to have a perfect movie night to watch The Longest Ride (Nicholas Sparks, you know how much I love him) I was so excited to be part of this event.  Not only because of Nicholas Sparks, but also because who was I to turn down a date night at home????? Based on the bestselling novel by master storyteller Sparks,  THE LONGEST RIDE  centers on the star-crossed love affair between Luke, a former champion bull rider looking to make a comeback, and Sophia, a college student who is about to embark upon her dream job in New Yor

Only problem was that I was not keeping them all together.  I would write one thing on the back of a receipt, one on a post it note, on and on and on.  Now, I have no clue what is where and I admit, I did not do a good job of keeping a baby book of any sorts, so many of his "firsts" were seen by me... and of course I told family and friends... but if you ask me now, I would not be able to tell you when or anything like that.  It makes me sad, but I use it as a life lesson to do better this time around. Oh, another thing that was hard for me was a schedule. I found these sheets online and printed out a ton of them, it was to help me figure out

We were recently sent a portable high chair for review and I have to tell you, we all think it is pretty neat.  You don't have to worry about me heading out camping anytime soon, but it is great for travel. Like if we go to visit my family, we can just throw it in the back of the car.  (It is seriously like one of those fold up chairs you throw in the bag to take the the beach or for tailgating.)  Speaking of tailgating, this would be perfect to put your little one in for a tailgating get together or even a family reunion or BBQ.   Image Credit - Ciao Baby Facebook  You can purchase a Portabl

Here is a product that is "free of harsh chemicals, fragrances and parabens."  Make sure you check to see what they carry, you can never be too careful.   Conception :  In the fall of 2009, one day during a hectic week, Stacy Lyon was busy helping out a friend track down paraben-free personal care items after her friend’s breast cancer tumor biopsy came back loaded with the harsh preservative.  A few days later, a nurse practitioner in a Seattle OBGYN clinic voiced her concerns with seeing reoccurring vaginal infections in patients visiting her office. Yet another close gal pal confided that she had bouts of “not feeling fresh… down there”.  Afte
