The weather has been PERFECT and what better way to spend a weekend than outside with friends?? Not too long ago, we decided to have an "open playdate" and basically asked any of our friends with kids if they wanted to join us...  We were able to get a discounted rate for everyone and we headed to a little gem tucked away in Cobb County.  Powder Springs to be exact!   It is called Corn on the Cobb (AKA Still Family Farm ) and we were made aware of it last year... It is a family owned and operated place and it is a days worth of fun!!!!     Walk on up and get your bracelet.  Once you have your bracelet, you are in for the

Although I have a son, we were so excited to hear the news that Disney On Ice was presenting FROZEN and it was headed to Atlanta...    A friend of ours has a little girl that is a huge Anna / Elsa fan, so we invited them to join us for a great night of fun! I will start with saying " MAKE SURE YOU ARE THERE AND IN YOUR SEATS BEFORE THE SHOW STARTS!!!"   Luckily for us, we had already purchased our drinks and popcorn and were seated ready for the show when we heard "5 minutes until showtime."  We were ready!!! Why do you want to be there on time???? Because you do not want to miss a minute of the show!!!!   We had a great time.  I loved that it was just like the movie, as

Although "chapter books" are a bit mature for Broxton, we still were happy when the Captain America books from Disney Publishing showed up in the mail!  I am not sure if you have to keep a reading log for how much you read to / with your child... but these were fun for us.  Each night, we would discuss if we were going to read 1-2 or 3 chapters... and then we would snuggle up and read them, logging the minutes for his school.    I love that although they are chapter books, they break things up with illustrations (and in The Secret Files book, they even have photos from the movie!) Both of these books would make great additions for the holidays... Either something to read on road trips over the holidays, or

Yeah, so that one time I wanted to make it seem like I new what I was talking about...   Broxton was so excited to go and see the new Star Wars Rebels movie.  (We were able to go to an advanced screening of it where they had a few activities beforehand.)  I woke up that morning all excited for him --- and then I made my mistake.  I said something about " Daddy said he saw the Death Star on the way to work... Hurry up and lets go and maybe we can see it too!"  His response was something about " Mom, the Death Star has been blown up.  Dad did not see that"  that moment was when I realized to stop trying to get cool points with my knowledge, since I knew nothing! Anyways, he was excited, so there was

I know that some people are totally against their kids watching tv, but we find the shows to be cute... and sometimes a good way to teach him things!    Some are for pure enjoyment though and I remember Babar from ages ago!   We received a couple DVD's for review, but haven't had time to watch them... Kindergarten can be busy!!!    I will tell you that every single time he sees the Geronimo Stilton DVD, he is eager to watch it... As it is brand new to us both!!!  Here are a few new titles to keep in mind when you start making your Christmas list!   PROGRAM DESCRIPTION After 80 celebrated years, Jean de Brunhoff's iconic tales of  Babar  gets a CGI update with  BABAR  AND THE ADVENTURES OF BADOU.

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc.  and  its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. Back to school at our house means more going, more doing... More laundry and I am never one to say "No" to more back to school savings!  I have been a fan of Purex since I reviewed it like a million years ago and if you step into my laundry room (Please don't) you will find bottles of it in there!  The price is so worth it that I can buy a couple different scents and still save money!   There are some things you can buy more than one of - think about it --  I am not going to decide to stop using detergent or deodorant... so it is okay to grab a couple when you see them on sale! That being said, I was glad that #CollectiveBias picked me to share the A Plus Values going on right now.   If you aren't familiar with the #APlusValues (I wasn't) keep reading.... It is a great opportunity to start the new school year off right and restock our home with great
