Well, it arrived and I really enjoyed it... but let me tell you the truth... I liked it, but I also add sugar and cream to my coffee, so I could not tell yo

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. Most people know that I try and buy an ornament each year for the boys... In the past, we have done football teams (UGA and LSU) but then I decided that I wanted to try and capture something a bit more personal for them.  Something to define that year for them...  The plan is to give them these ornaments when they get married... You know, a way to start their family tree without it being naked! Until then, it gives us something to look back on and reminisce. This year, it was a bit hard to decide what I wanted to do... (and let me be honest, I am not going to tell you what I decided on, since I don't want them to see before they unwrap it!) I was torn... With so many options, what was I supposed

Open Letter to Tom Cruise

If you choose to not get political, feel free to skip over this post...  But, it has been weighing heavily on my heart and I felt the need to do so. I wanted to post this on Veterans Day, but chose not to ... I can not hold back any longer, I need to say it now: An open letter to Tom Cruise in regards to statements made relating him to military: (Taken from TMZ) First, the Middle East -- Tom says his location shoots are just like serving a tour in Afghanistan, "That's what it feels like. And certainly on this last movie, it was brutal. It was brutal." As for his physical training, Tom said, "There is difficult physical stamina and preparation. Sometimes I've spent months, a year, and sometimes two years preparing for a single film." But the kicker, he adds, "A sprinter for the Olympics, they only have to run two races a day. When I'm shooting, I could potentially have to run 30, 40 races a day, day after day." Cruise's la

It was in regards to the great superhero themed shows that come on The CW Saturday mornings.... I know I am not the most creative mom out there, but it hit me when I got this email... I had never thought about making things for Broxton to enjoy ...   while watching his favorite shows!!! (Yes, we do crafts, but not super hero stuff.. until now!) Of course, that meant YES... I wanted to see what was in this box and get some ideas flowing...  Box of goodies arrives..  Broxton has no clue what is going on with the empty paper towel rolls. Our Box included:  paper with a super  hero mask outline, paint, 3D glitter glue, yarn, paper towel rolls, craft

Another Year, Another Photo

Image
We have this place near my parents home town... Kids go there on school trips, we stop there for delicious boiled peanuts...   and also photo opportunities! I do believe that Broxton has gone each year... This year, we sort of dropped the ball.. We planned on going, but never made it, well, I mean we did not make it for the photo's.   We did stop once, but it was just for a minute and Broxton was not dressed the way I would have liked for photos... but he had fun and the memories continue!!! Had I not had the other issues going on, we would have been able to go for the photos I wanted!!! Either way, I still got pictures, so the tradition continues!!!

Playing Catch Up!

Image
I know I have been MIA a bit lately... It has been a bit hectic here these days and it is time for catch up now. Just a picture I like of Broxton.. ENJOY First of all, I was in the process of blogging future posts when the computer shut off... I tried to bring it back to life, with NO RESULT... DEAD - DEAD- DEAD. I had to take it in to be looked at (since I know NOTHING about computers) and they had to mail it out... So, my planned posts ran out ... and I had nothing... Talk about being stuck in a hard place... I did not realize how much I depend on my computer... While I was having computer withdrawals, I had ear surgery....  Fun times there! My mom and dad came up to help out with Broxton (and to help look after me!) Long story short, I had a cyst type thing on the back of my eardrum... It had eaten away at my ear bones... The surgery was supposed to be around 3-4 hours... Yeah, it was worse than they thought and it took over 5 hours! Luckily for me, my MOPS MOMS have been
