I mentioned before that Broxton has been saying he wants to learn Spanish...  Well, come to find out, each Tuesday, they go to "Spanish Class" and work on learning a couple words/phrases.    I used to think that Broxton would think Dora was "girly" and would not want to watch it, but guess what?  He loves it... for the Spanish he learns! We watch it from time to time and he repeats the words when he is supposed to!  That makes me a proud mama!!   I can not wait to see his face when he sees he has a new Dora DVD- Dora's Ice Skating Spectacular ! Available in stores on Tuesday, November 5th.  Join  Dora  and Boots as they skate to the rescue of the Snow Princess, Snow Fairy and all their

Broxton absolutely loves Bubble Guppies and Team Umizoomi.   I love it too, as they TEACH and Broxton really seems to learn when he watches it.  I know that all shows for his age "try" and teach, but some are better than others...   He even requested a Bubble Guppies book from the school book fair this year! Since he just loves these characters, I was so excited to get the Bubble Guppies / Team Umizoomi DVD for review:   Into the Snow We Go !  Synopsis:  Join the Guppies for a festive special as they work together to share the joy of the holiday season with their neighbor, Mr. Grumpfish. As a holiday bonus, enjoy two special  Team Umizoomi  episodes! It’s going to be a fin-tastic holiday with  Bu

This is not a sponsored post, just sharing.   You know we went and saw Planes at the Theater... and we LOVED it... Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. Most movie nights around here are animated, or at least geared towards children...  I was excited that my mom was here and we had the chance to watch The Heat, starring Melissa McCarthy and Sandra Bullock.  Now, I don't watch the TV show with McCarthy in it, but my parents do and they just love   her... But, I am a fan of Sandra Bullock (and lets be real, the times I have seen McCarthy, she seems pretty funny, so I was eager to check it out.) I will say that although I am no saint, I am think that the movie industry has a hey day with dropping F-Bombs all the time...   and this movie is no exception... but, it wasn't as bad as other movies I have seen, so we really enjoyed it.  Mom and I were both cracking u

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. Broxton and I were able to go see Turbo at the theaters this year... and love it, yes we did!!! I think his favorite part was when the snail ( voiced by Snoop Dog) says "Slow Motion Baby!"   Well....   Guess what?! Turbo is being released November 12th and I personally think that it will make a great gift idea for kids of all ages!   My problem is deciding what to do... save it for a Christmas gift, or go ahead and open it up now to watch again?  ( I tell you, we loved it!) SYNOPSIS: Laugh it up with the visually stunning, heartfelt comedy-adventure for fans of all ages this holiday season! “Fresh, fast and funny” (Lou Lumenick,  New York Post ) and garnering four stars from Shawn Edwards with Fox

I remember his older brothers watching it when they were younger, so it is fun to see how things that they liked are still around...  We were recently sent a brand new Blu-Ray : It's A Spongebob Christmas! !!  I might just surprise Broxton with this as a gift this year...   I know this is one his brothers will watch with him!   Synopsis:   It’s SpongeBob as you’ve never seen him before – on Blu-ray for the first time, as part of this Blu-ray Combo Pack. Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. I just loved reading about Clumsy Duck. This, to me, was a great story about friendship!!! In Clumsy Duck , we meet Duck and Chick.   As duck tried to walk, she is constantly falling down...   Chick tries to help, but it seems like there is no getting around it... Duck is clumsy! Then, chick notices their prints and sees that duck has much bigger prints...   Maybe that was why she was so clumsy...     The longer they walk, the more clumsy duck appears..   until....  Until what?  I can't tell you... You will need to get the book and read it...  I loved that it was a great story and that chick didn't give up on his clumsy friend... You just have to look to find what is best for you and your sit

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. Broxton knows his ABC's, so we don't have to worry about buying all sorts of ABC books, but it is nice to have books to review with him and it is always exciting to have a new type of book to look at. We were sent an "American Museum of  Natural History" ABC Animals book and I was very impressed. This is a board book, so it is a very sturdy book... but it is also a good sized book so there is no need to worry about losing it and it is large enough to have a couple kids share it looking together. In ABC Animals , we get to learn all 26 letters of the alphabet, but we also get to meet some of the cutest animals...  Up first, A is for Armadillo's...   I loved that, since his soccer team was t

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. Adding to my collection of books to do a Christmas Countdown with Broxton, we now have Bully Bean .  We have read a few of the Lima Bear books in the past, so I know Broxton is going to love seeing his old friend, Lima Bear!   I really like reading books that talk about bullying. We talk to Broxton about telling us if there is a situation about bullying ...   If it happens to him, tell someone... if he sees it happening to a friend, stand up for them... and we also talk about him being a good boy and not being a bully to others. I was happy that Bully Bean was sent to us. This is a book about a Big Bear that is nicknamed "Bully Bean." He is mean to everyone and all the other bears are just so very
