I have said that I want to get the first couple seasons, so that I can watch them all.. When I learn of great shows that have already been out, I try and watch them all as fast as I can, since I have very little patience!!!   Just a heads up to all Sons of Anarchy Fans... New Season starts September 10th!!!! (You know that means Season 5 is now available on DVD!) We recently were sent a book from Abrams Appleseed and as soon as I started reading it, Broxton and I were cracking up turning the pages.  The book that had us laughing?   I Can See Just Fine by Eric Barclay. It is a great book to discuss with kids the importance of eye sight... and it gives a great way to talk about kids that need / wear glasses.  The thing that had us laughing were the eyes in the picture of her in music class... It was just too funny...  Broxton and I loved flipping through the book, noticing all of the things that Paige missed because of her poor vision.  I know that new things and going to see an eye doctor can be scary, so this was great to share with a little one beforehand,

Pleased To Meet You

Image
Having worked with this PR company in the past, I thought that this was a great CD to share with you!!!  I was not  compensated  for posting this.   This sounds like a pretty neat CD to add to your collection!  Pleased   To   Meet   You   reflects Key Wilde and Mr Clarke’s musical versatility, which can skillfully move from rockers like the title track and “Bigga Bagga”  to  quieter tunes like the bluegrassy “Chuckers” and the ukulele lullaby (tinged with toy piano), “Falling Star.” Most of the songs on  Pleased   To   Meet   You   are originals, the result of the duo’s offbeat and wide-ranging musical sensibilities. The “Railroad Medley” is a lively arrangement of well-loved train songs, and “Candyman” is a sweetly acoustic and child-friendly version of the Reverend Gary Davis blues classic. “Eggplant Man” exemplifies the Key Wilde and Mr Clarke sensibility, using creative rhyming and word play  to  tell the story about a “lumpy grumpy” gardener trying  to  stop the wily J

I hope to receive a complimentary Shrek The Musical DVD for review.  I wanted to share this with you in advance.   The greatest fairy tale never told comes to life as never before in DreamWorks’  Shrek The Musical , the highly acclaimed Broadway production based on the smash-hit movie. Called a “triumph of comic imagination” (Elysa Gardner, USA Today) that “never stints on spectacle or laughs” (David Rooney, Variety),  Shrek The Musical  received eight 2009 Tony Award® nominations including Best Musical, winning Best Costume Design of a Musical (Tim Hatley) and received a Grammy Award® nomination for Best Musical Show Album. Featuring a fantasic score of 17 all-new songs,  Shrek The Musical  was filmed on stage to capture the magic of a Broadway performance and stars an amazing celebrated cast including Brian d’Arcy James (Shrek), Sutton Foster (Fiona), Daniel Breaker (Donkey), Christopher Sieber (Lord Farquaad), and John Tartaglia (Pinocchio). The film was shot

Happy Birthday To Me... W/W

Image
Well, my birthday was a couple weeks ago and I was treated to a nice little mini vacation with Broxton to Biloxi.  It was a great time and we have done this before, I guess we could somewhat call it a tradition now, but I don't know how much longer we will do this, with his being ready for "big kid school" next year...   Anyways, we stay at the Hard Rock and I know Broxton and I both love it...  As soon as you walk in, the bed calls for you to take a nap, or at least lay down and relax!!! One of the highlights for us is the first morning there...  We normally order room service and enjoy it sitting on the floor, looking out the window at the pool down below.  (Yes, we request a pool view to add to this as it really is a great time for the two of us...)   Of course, with a pool view, we can see when it is open and busy and we love going down there... If you look towards the left of the water, you can see it is like a lighter shade... that is a

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. I have to start by saying that I love how silly Marc can be when he knows I am taking pictures for the blog... Like, seriously... He makes the faces that he never does in day to day life... For example.. I needed  / wanted pictures to show this new product that we were sent (that he had been going on and on about since it's arrival)  I asked him to wait a few days and then shave, so I could photograph him... Here he is giving me this look for the first photo: Love that look!!!  What would you call it? With Marc being military, you know that means he needs to be clean shaven and ready... Well, he waited a few days to shave, just so we could see this product in action... Check out all that hair!!!  We wer

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. I was excited to find out that  Beating the Lunch Box Blues by J. M. Hirsch  would be headed my way... It is so hard to pack lunch for Broxton... I have decided that my teenage years are already coming back to get me now... If I ask him what he wants, he tells me crazy things... Like he wants candy and chips.  Now, we all know that is not an option, so then I tell him we will do apples and a sandwich... No matter what I pack, most times, that same lunch comes back home.  I hate that, but I do tell him what I am packing and even get his opinion...  The other day, he was so excited, he wanted me to pack him a sandwich in the shape of a butterfly, so I did... but you better believe it that butterfly was still in his bag after I picked him up...   W

If you have been around lately, you know that I have been kind of sick ...   I am slowly feeling better, although it was a rough couple days to start with. You want to know something funny?  We were sent some of the Boogie Wipes for review. I had all plans to send some in for Broxton's class... and then to keep some in our car, since Broxton had been having a bit of a runny nose.  Well, of course, I noticed that I was using them more than he was, so they never made it to his class... they were being used here!!! Wow, I love them... It cleans my nose... and it doesn't hurt when I am blowing and wiping millions of times a day.  (Okay, millions might be one or two more than what I really did, but it was quite a few times!) Right now, Toys

We were lucky enough to have a pair of Kiki's Nations Towel Shorts sent for us to check out...  I have never seen a pair before, so I was a bit curious as to how they would look, fit and feel... When they arrived, Broxton was pretty excited to put them on!  I tell ya, this kid will try most things out for me... For the most part!   I requested the Red Hibiscus Jammers , as the red, white and blue colors were just really calling me (Imagine that!)  They arrived and I was in love! We ordered the 4T, but looking back, I wish I had requested the 5T as he is growing so fast and might not be able to wear these next year...   We actually took them to the pool with us the other day..  After Broxton was finished swimming, I was able to get

I am a member of the Collective Bias Social Fabric Community. This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper insights study for Collective Bias and their client. If you remember, we went to see Disney Planes the Movie and Broxton fell in love.  I did too, as the movie was so cute!!!  During the movie, Broxton mentioned a couple times about how he really wanted he planes toys, so I was excited to see that they are now available at Walmart! Luckily for me, I am a part of the Collective Bias Shop, so I was able to go and purchase a few for our house!!!   (I would love to have you stop over to my Google + album to see how that shopping trip went! ) Of course, I had to get the Disney Planes Dusty, but that is put up for Christmas! I had a hey day there shopping... Hope you saw the fun with that on my google + album.    I came home and immediately hid the different toys that I bought...
