We love the Ripley's Books around here...  I was excited when we were sent the newest one, Ripley's Believe It or Not - Dare To Look  2013 .  This is the 10th "annual" book from Ripleys.  I had no idea...   At first, I wanted to save it for a Christmas gift for Marc, but then I thought about it... I knew he would love to look at in now. Yes, I went ahead and gave it to him then...  Know what he did? He sat in that chair and flipped through pretty much every page until he was finished with the book...  Then, he and Broxton looked through it again. I have not had a chance to look at it yet, but Marc has called me over on numerous times to have me look at something that he found interesting...  I a

I Want My Mommy

So, I wake up with a sore throat... I did not really think much about it, since when the weather starts doing the hot/cool days... I most always catch a quick cold.  Not to mention, Broxton is back in school and I helped with AWANA.. so we have been around plenty of kids (Broxton had a small cough too) Then, the next day.. It got a bit worse... I googled home remedies and made up a concoction of honey, garlic and cayenne pepper... Sounds NASTY... not great, but I did keep it down... I will say it did bring relief for a bit... Day three, I was dying... I told Marc I just knew I would feel better if I cut a few slits in my face to let the pressure in my sinus cavities have a way to escape... I tell you... it was bad...  Miserably bad... Finally, I could not take it anymore... I did not want to get anyone else sick... So, I sucked it up and headed to the doctor... Not pictured : My ear drops (as I have been on them already and they were not near the new medical supply!)     Yes,

Snugli Baby Carriers

Image
* I will be reviewing a Snugli Booster Seat... I was not required to post this, but thought it was too cute not to do so. With the Royal Baby in the news, this Union Jack Snugli Baby Carrier would be great to have... I tell you now, I am not pregnant... but when/if we do have another baby... I think that this would be an awesome print design to have in a baby carrier.    I was checking out the Snugli site and I tell you now, they have so many options to chose from... Front Carrier, Vented Carrier, Front & Back Carrier and the Front, Back & Hip Carrier... They seem to have several great patterns to choose from and if you are like me and not really sure what carrier you want... You can click the COMPARE button to see what works best for you!!! Make sure you come back to see the Snugli Booster Seat that I have for review... I am in LOVE and I am not even the one in it!!!

Socks or Shoes? Crisis Avoided!!!

Image
With school being back in, life is starting to somewhat settle down... I say that, but we shall see... I did want to share with you something: We went to get Broxton a new pair of shoes for school. (The older boys all got their new shoes at the start of summer... but we waited for Broxton.  You know, at that age, who knows what "thing" is going to be what he is all excited about!) Well, he wanted Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle shoes... and was SO EXCITED to get them. We even made him wait to wear them the first time for the first day of school... He was so thrilled about these shoes (I do love the bright green soles) so I had to take a picture to document this for when he is older....     But then, get this...  Morning of, he was all happy and ready to go... Until he realized that the shoes were going to cover up his Angry Bird socks and he wanted to be able to show his socks to his teacher and friends...   I am talking about he decided that he did not want to wear

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. So, my birthday was a couple weeks ago. We went on a mini-vacation to celebrate and it was nice... Why am I telling you this? Because my mom saw that Epic was available On Demand in the hotel and rented it for Broxton to watch with her one night...  I asked her what she thought and she responded with something about it looked really cute, but she could not hear it, so she was sure it would even be better with sound!   Ha ha ha......... As soon as Epic arrived at our house, Broxton was so excited to watch it...  He was telling me how he watched it with my mom and he wanted to watch it again. Guess that means it was pretty good!!! I wanted to watch it as well, so I was thrilled that he was eager to watch again so s

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. We just finished reading one of the cutest books!!! Rufus Goes to School by Kim T. Griswell . It was a great book about a pig with a dream! Ha ha ha.. that just sounds funny to me, but it is the basis of the story!  I should probably get Marc to read it to Broxton, since he just LOVES that movie, Babe with the pig...  Anyways.... Rufus is an adorable pig that wants to go to school to learn to read! (Don't we all wish kids were so excited for both of those?!) Well, he watches the kids and takes what he "thinks" is needed to go to school... but each time, he is told no...  that principle was just not about to have a pig in his classes!   Each time, Rufus watches more and more and tries to find
