I Want @Albert_Bartlett On My Table! Yum

Image
We are a "Meat and Potatoes" family around here... There is no denying that... When I was given the opportunity to review the " Rooster Potatoes " from Albert Bartlett, I was eager to try them... I mean, Rooster Potatoes?  I have never heard of such!!!! Oh My Goodness. They are SO GOOD. But here is the deal... these little spuds of love are new to the US. You see, they are a household name in the UK (for over 60 years) and now, the lucky residents of Georgia and Colorado get to try them out... The drawback?  As with everything that deals with farming and crops... they are only harvested for a limited time... meaning that when they are no longer on the shelves at Wal-Mart, you are just out of luck... We used them to make smashed potatoes... YUMMY...  and I also used them to make a dish my mom makes from time to time...Just chunk up the potatoes, chunk up some onions and add butter.  Then, bake in the oven!!!! Now, Let me tell you what I want to try... Thanks

Toy State Keeps Rolling Out the Toys! #Holidaygiftguide

Image
We have been working on Broxton's Christmas list for a bit now and I thought we were pretty much finished adding items to the list... Then, about 2 weeks ago, he decided to mess it up and add a dump truck to the list...   Not really sure why it popped in his head... and there is no worry, he has several of them already... but sure enough, he asked for a dump truck!  That made me pretty happy... want to know why? Because we were sent a box of goodies for review... and one of those items just happened to be a DUMP TRUCK from Toy State.  Yes... they have a CAT Dump Truck!   It lights up and even moves forward!  There is a little button on the side that you press and all the excitement starts! The truck bed of the dump truck has what appears to be a pile of rocks...   In the rocks is a light, so when you press the button, it lights up and will make kids of all ages smile with fun!!! We were also sent a DUB Garage RIM Rockerz...  Once again, this is a great size to be a sto

Scooby Doo - 13 Spooky Tales #holidaygiftguide

Image
Not too terribly long ago, Broxton decided that he likes watching Scooby Doo.  Not really sure where his fascination comes from, but he enjoys watching when he has the chance.  When I saw that Scooby Doo: 13 Spooky Tales  Holiday Chills and Thrills was available, I was eager to try and get it for Broxton.  I was trying to get Christmas presents wrapped, so I thought it would be a great way to keep his eyes off of what I was doing... so, I started the movie for him.  Little did I know that I was going to have him entranced like I had cast a spell over him.  As soon as I started the DVD, he was zoned in and did not take his eyes off of it, until I turned it off a couple shows into it.  The DVD is 2 discs, so I know there is still plenty left to be enjoyed later!!!! In the all-new Scooby - Doo ! Haunted Holidays , Scooby and gang face a chilly and frightful holiday season when they try to solve the mystery of a sinister snowman, which has come alive in a downtown area and appear

Falling In Love with the Voice Of Elizabeth Mitchell

Image
I do not get to listen to music that much these days.. If we are in the car, it is either Marcs music or Broxton talking, or Broxtons music or a show/movie... Well, I have to tell you something... I wanted to review the CD, Elizabeth Mitchell & you are my flower:  Blue Clouds ,  for Broxton.. but now it is for me too! As soon as I put the CD in, the song, "Hop Up, My Ladies" immediately had me hooked!  It says that this is a CD that is traditional folk and classic rock... for kids... But I am for real enjoying it!!! The Hop Up song has been going on a loop in my head... Not a bad way either... Each song has you falling more in love with the voice of Elizabeth Mitchell and the CD has been on replay over and over again.... Put it this way, we do not listen to CD's in the house that often... but we have been since blue clouds arrived! I had no clue that some of these songs were covers (I am not a big classic rock listener)  but after learning this, I wonder what Ma

Love Toy Trains? @Videos4Kids @giveaway #HolidayGiftGuide

Image
If you know anyone what so ever that loves Toy Trains... I have THE. BEST. GIFT. EVER. to tell you about.  Broxton loves trains and he will watch video of real or toy ones... It does not matter... You can tell by his love of trains that we watch all the time.  When I heard of the DVD set, Lots and Lots of Toy Trains, I knew Broxton would love it. We already have one DVD that he watches, so I was ready for his excitement. When I put the new DVD on, he was NOT very happy.  It was not the one he normally watched, so he wanted me to turn it off.  I didn't, so he watched for a few more minutes and was hooked!!!! We actually took Volumes 1 and 2 on a road trip with my dad.  I did not know how Broxton was going to do riding for such a long trip and I did not know how my dad or his friend would like riding with a kid, so I was trying to be prepared.    We packed the new DVDs, a couple of true favorites, books and other activities for the trip.  Well, all the other stuff was not ne

Love Styling Your Hair? @Hotironholster #HolidayGiftGuide

Image
If you style your own hair, or if you have  a daughter... or even a son with long hair... You want to read this!  I recently had the opportunity to review the Hot Iron Holster and I tell you, it is a must for all houses where hair care goes on!!!! This is just the coolest product!!!! The Hot Iron Holster is basically a MUST HAVE pouch to hold your Hot Iron... Be it  a flat iron or a curling iron... It is a need!!!! I was sent one in white and I think that I need to get a couple in other colors to add a spice of color to our bathroom.  (They come in other colors:  Black, Purple and Pink.)  What makes this so special is that it sticks to the sink or counter top with out any suction cups or anything... The Hot Iron Holster is like a really thick rubber material "cup" with a rubber "mat" that you lay on the counter.  I love that it is wide enough that I could lay my flat iron on the top while working on my hair, but that it isn't so wide that it makes it h

Core Bamboo and a Discount Code

Image
While Christmas gets closer and closer, we need to not only remember to get great gifts to make those faces smile when they unwrap their gifts, but we also need to make sure that we are prepared for hosting all those people at your house!  I saw Core Bamboo online and I was immediately hooked at the different designs that they had!  Up first, I was checking out the bamboo banana hanger .  We eat tons of banana's here and we could really use this!  The ones I have seen are like cheap looking plastic, so the fact that this was bamboo made me know that I would not mind having it sit out on the counter for guests to grab a banana while visiting!    We were sent a very chic 3 part entertainment set and I love it.  I am telling you, it is so nice and classic.  The design of the natural bamboo and the crisp white ceramic bowls.  This is such a great item.  I think it would be great to have sitting out for guests.  You could fill it with snacks of some sort for guests to munch o
