#HolidayGiftGuide - Bottlehood #Giveaway

Image
Have you ever wondered what happens to all the empty glass bottles out there? Yes, some get thrown away, some get recycled, some are saved and some are sent to the bottlehood ! I found bottlehood on line and I tell you what, I can not believe that in all the years I spent in the bar industry, this never crossed my mind! What is bottlehood , you ask... Bottlehood takes empty glass bottles and Upcycles them! In turn, you can purchase anything from jewelry to glasses, spoon rests to light fixtures! It says that these glass bottles take over 4,000 years to decompose, look at how much landfill is being saved now! They have it all and although back in the day, it would have been neat to have had the different alcohol bottle glasses... Seriously, when I was working... We did secret Santa every year and this would have been awesome if I knew about it! The owners (two brothers who both love vodka) would have loved something from bottlehood ! Especially to go in their pool room/ bar area in t

Just in time for Halloween!!!! Join in the fun with a double play of cute movies! If you are having a Halloween Party or just want to get into the "spirit" of it all... You will love this! We were sent the Dreamworks Party Pack for review and Broxton was so excited. Not only did we receive the movies for review, we also enjoyed the Halloween Pack that was included!!!! We enjoyed: Shrek Candy, Shrek Trick or Treat Bucket, Shrek Hands and Ears and Popcorn. See how cute the candy is? Ha ha! Look at their names! Daddy feeding Broxton the "swamp slugs" with the Shrek Hands! We (the older boys, my parents, Marc and I)love the Shrek movies, so I thought Broxton would like this Halloween take on it... Not so much. He was scared by it. The movie has Shrek and his buddies go to an old abandoned place and tell scary stories to see who is the bravest one there. I laughed, but Broxton wasn't having it... He ended up playing with his toys while I watched it, but

#HolidayGiftGuide - Gyro Bowl #Giveaway

Image
With the holidays, that also means travel. At least for some families... With travel for us, that means snacks in the car. Have you seen the commercial for the GYRO BOWL ? You know the one, the kid is running around, down a hill and everything, carrying snacks and NOTHING falls out of the bowl? Well, every single time we see this, we mention it would be great... IF it worked! Now, I can say... It is great!!! We were sent a Gyro Bowl for review and have enjoyed it so far... No, I have not made Broxton climb a mountain and run down it to really test it out, but around the house and in the car, we have had no problems!!! Okay, I take that back... We have had one spillage. That was totally my fault though! I filled the bowl up to the point of overflowing. So, when I was walking to give it to him, I spilled a couple of pretzels. That being said, don't overflow it... :) lesson learned!!! We even gave it to him for a road trip. Goldfish in there and none in the car seat!!! Score one for t

One thing I love about October is seeing PINK everywhere. It makes me proud to see companies taking a stand and helping. Wherever you look, the pink is around and makes me smile. One company that I just learned of that is " Proud to Support Pink " is Freschetta Pizza! If you look in your freezer aisle, you will see the pizza with pink on the packaging! I have actually never had Freschetta before now, so I was really surprised by all of their flavors! We will for sure be trying other types out soon!!!! We tried the Chicken Club. It was delicious... but truthfully, I don't know how I like the name chicken club. I don't know... I feel like it should be called something different... Either way, no matter what it is called on the package, I call it YUM! I could go on and on about that pizza, or the other flavors they offered... That good! But for now, I wanted to tell you how Freschetta is helping YOU be proud to support pink. I was sent a Freschetta Pizza Pack and now

Snow Flower and The Secret Fan on Blu-Ray/DVD Nov. 1

Image
Snow Flower and the Ancient Proverbs Coming to Blu-ray & DVD on Nov. 1 Growing up in 19th century China, Lily (Bingbing Li) and Snow Flower (Gianna Jun) are brought together in a Laotong friendship—a lifelong bond between two women who rely on each other for companionship and comfort. Amid the civil unrest and gender discrimination of the era, the pair deals with life’s hardships together until they are separated by marriage and childbirth. As sworn sisters, however, the women continue to communicate through the secret Chinese language of nushu , hiding their stories and messages within the folds of delicate silk fans. Snow Flower’s best friend Lily learns about a Laotong from her aunt, who describes it as a “relationship made by choice for the purpose of emotional companionship and eternal fidelity.” Playing on this quote, and to celebrate the release of SNOW FLOWER AND THE SECRET FAN on Blu-ray and DVD Nov. 1, we will compile a list of other Chinese proverbs to live by, inc

Fresh Breath with Thera Breath - #giveaway

Image
Okay, let me start this post by saying that I do not think that I have bad breath. Now that I have cleared this up... I will admit that when I am sick, I am always wanting to brush my teeth and rinse my mouth, as I know my breath isn't awesome then! I saw TheraBreath and I wanted to try it out. Why? Well, to be honest... To see how it worked and to see if it would help me during the cooler months when I get sore throats, that lead me to dry mouth and yes, bad breath! I will say, I am not a huge fan of the toothpaste. I know, it is a mental thing, but I love the minty flavor of toothpaste. I have always been that way and this doesn't have it. No, it isn't a nasty flavor, to tell you the truth, there is really no flavor. I brush and brush... Then, I move to the rinse. I do like it. It doesn't have an overpowering flavor, but it does have a hint. The rinse doesn't burn, nor does it cool.. It is just right. I have enjoyed that!

#HolidayGiftGuide - Curious Critters Book

Image
Broxton (and Mommy) have a new book we love!!! We just received Curious Critters by David Fitzsimmons for review and Broxton was quick to want to read it. Have you heard of Curious Critters? It is a children's book that has great photography throughout it... Of, you guessed it... Critters! Maybe it was the HUGE FROG on the cover, I don't know... We sat in the chair and read the book. He laughed at the pictures, as mommy made some interesting sounds when we saw a few of them! This book is awesome! I for one love the photography. It is simple. David Fitzsimmons takes pictures of these critters... White background. Up close and personal. Then, each page has the picture of the critter and a little paragraph about them. From their color to their name, all very interesting and quite funny. This would be AN AWESOME book for any nature lover. Let me change this.. This would be an AWESOME book for anyone. I hate bugs and critters, but I loved this book. Broxton did as well. As soo
