Indestructibles - Review

Image
Whenever Broxton "reads" a book... He really "Reads" it! :) He tries to eat it... ( is he a billy goat?!) and he reads it so hard/"fast" that the pages tend to rip! So, for most of the books, they are put up and he can "read" them with mommy or daddy. The only books he is allowed to "read" on his own are the chunky board books that we pick up here and there in the dollar sections of the stores. Well, now he has added another one to his available library! Amy has solved that problem! When she had triplets, she realized the problems with the books currently on the market and she wanted to make a safe book for her little ones. Heck, with 3 of them... She already had her hands full as it was without having to add that worry to the list! :) So, with the help of Karen... They came up with a great idea!!! Indestructibles was born!!! These books are made out of a material that can be chewed, crumpled, wet... NOT RIPPED! I am not sure what it

Scandle - WHOA

Image
I love it! I love how they are called " SCANDLE !" Everything about it makes me love it even more! HA! It is just the best! Have you been " Scandle " ous lately? Maybe you need to!!!! Do you even know what I am talking about? Scandle is a massage oil candle ! You know how relaxing this is?! We just reviewed the Scandle Travel Candle and Marc and I both really enjoyed it! The scent is a very nice and relaxing fragrance, nothing overbearing. This would be perfect for a weekend get away! It comes packaged in a cute little tin and then you light the candle. It even has a wrist band that you can remove and wear, reminding you to "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!" Let the soft fragrance relax you as you wind down... Then, you just pour a bit of the oil onto your loved one and massage it into them! The oil is not to hot... and as weird as it sounds, not very oily! Marc and I tried to figure out a way to describe it... We think the only way to describe it is to say it

CSN- We got it!

Image
Remember my previous CSN post , when I asked you what I should get? Well... After much discussion and thinking it over... We went with the WOODEN WORK PLAY BENCH. As is everything with CSN it came carefully packaged. It was securely packaged inside a shipping box, so we opened it and then Marc and Broxton got to putting it together. It called for a screwdriver to assemble, and Marc was very pleased to see that they even include a screwdriver in the kit! Broxton was big boy and wanted to help daddy put it together... They worked on it for a few minutes, getting everything just right... And then it was PLAY TIME!!!! Broxton loves it... We actually have it in the area by our computer where he can play... Fun times! I really recommend this Wooden Work Bench from CSN stores to anyone with a little boy! Easy to assemble and hours of entertainment!!!! FTC Compliant Review Policy: The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or represen

Did not realize labor day weekend was when my giveaways were set to end... So, this has been extended!!! Will end on September 7th! A friend of mine recently had a baby and she called to ask me if I had heard of the CD , Kid Hip . I told her no, that I had no clue what she was talking about... So, she wanted me to check out the Kid Hip Website . Kid Hip is where you can get songs with your little ones name in it! Yes! Say you have a child with an uncommon name... You can look to see if they carry the name you are looking for! If they have it, order a CD or a DVD ... and when it arrives, your little one will be so happy! The CD contains 9 songs that say your little ones name. I am not saying that they say it just once or twice, they say it several times! Look at the song list! 1. It's All About (name) 2. ABC With Me 3. Raspberry Spray 4. Monkey Counts to 20 5. Manners Matter 6. Swinging Subtraction 7. Color Wheel 8. Animal Rhymes 9. Fly Over 1700 names?! I tried to see if they

Water? Soda? Tea? I have been reviewing " The Official Beverage of Taste" and I love it!!!!!!!!!! We were able to review several different flavors. Being from the South... Born and raised in Georgia... I LOVE my sweet tea. I was wondering what all these different tea's would do for me. I have heard of Green Tea and Black Tea... But did you know that there is White Tea and Blue Tea? Yeah... What that is all about, I will never know... But, I figured I would at least try it! Boy, am I glad I did!!! I like that they are glass and not plastic bottles. I also like that they are made with pure and organic cane sugar! How many other drinks do you know like that? This is what we tried: White Tea - Honeydew and Strawberry Green Tea - Mango and Plum Blue Tea - Lemon and Peach Black Tea - Sweet and Unsweet Half and Half - Tea and Lemonade Lemonade - Black Cherry and Strawberry This is the "Official Beverage of Taste!" My favorites were the Honeydew White Tea, the Mango

Fairy Tale Books - review & giveaway

Let me tell you a quick story... One of my best friends, Cindy (she was the maid of honor at our wedding) threw me a baby shower for Broxton . Instead of cards, she asked that everyone buy a book and write a message in there... That way, instead of cards that get placed in boxes, or thrown away... We would always have them... and we would have a library for Broxton !!!! Talk about a great idea! I loved it!!!! Why did I tell you this? I wanted to let you know that I have found a few great books for you!!! Have you heard of the Sock Fairy? The Knot Fairy? The Belly Button Fairy? or The Fart Fairy? Bobbie Hinman is wonderful!!! She was a successful author of cookbooks, but decided that as a grandmother to 10 grandchildren... What better way to direct her attention than to make books for them?! She has now created 4 books with fairies that tell the answers to kids questions... (I really hope she has more in the works!) I was able to review The Sock Fairy and The Belly Button Fairy. I op

April and Oliver - Book Review

Image
April and Oliver by Tess Callahan was one that was hard for me to put down... The book opens up with the passing of April's younger brother, Buddy. Once that sets the stage, you wonder what can possibly happen next! (Well, at least I did!) I think this book kept me going because of the relationship between April and her Nana. My Nana meant the world to me, so that was an added bonus in this book. Seriously though, April and Oliver have been in each others lives since they were children... Life took them in different directions, but quickly pulled them back into each others lives with the passing of Buddy. Oliver has taken a clearly different path, going to law school, getting engaged... His life is on track. But April, oh April.. She is still tending bar, still running with the wrong crowd and there is no settling down in her future! Oliver tries to be the knight in shining armor, trying to rescue April from everything... This book pulls you in and keeps the pages turning... Ca
