The Mailbox - book review

Image
I love to read and I think I am starting to get back into my "groove" of reading! I used to read alot, but now... It is more Curious George with Broxton versus books for me. Nothing is wrong with that, of course, I would not change it for anything! I was able to read THE MAILBOX by MARYBETH WHALEN. I started it and finished it in 2 days! It was a great read and a pretty easy one as well! Are you headed to the pool or beach? This would be a perfect quick read for you then! I enjoyed the story and imagine knowing that it was based on a REAL mailbox in North Carolina! The mailbox is a sweet story about this one mailbox... Out in the middle of nowhere! On the outside it says, "Kindred Spirit" and locals and tourists all visit to leave a letter for the "Kindred Spirit!" The mailbox is filled with notebooks, loose leaf notebook paper and plenty of pens. You go visit and write whatever you need to say to the "Kindred Spirit." No one reads it but them.

Any advice?

I "met" a fellow Army Wife that I would love to talk to... (Through the bloghop ) When I try to leave a comment on her blog, it will not let me... Then I noticed, she has no comments on any of her posts... I tried to look at her profile to email her... (and to see what the deal was with her blog not taking comments) She does not have a visible profile... She is a new blogger... I am talking about Crystal @ Life in a Day Anyone know her? Anyone know how I can contact her? Thanks for any help!

Rubbermaid Reveal Mop - Review and Giveaway

Image
How do you mop? There have been so many ways to mop your floor... My Nana had the sponge with the squeeze thing, you know, mop, squeeze the sponge, do it again... My moms house is the mop that is the braided rope and then you pull the thing up to squeeze the water out... Where I used to work, it was the INDUSTRIAL mop and then the mop bucket had the squeeze. I had the kind that was the wet pad. Times, yes, they are a changing!!!! I was fortunate to review the Rubbermaid Reveal Spray Mop . First of all, it was released in May... Where was this before then? It comes very easy to put together... Just snap the pieces together and you are on your way! They even include an extra cleaning pad! This cleaning pad is no joke either!!! It is very thick and durable! One of the MAIN reasons I like this versus other mops... You can choose what cleaner you want to use! Not the kind that they want you to use... I really liked the ease of using this mop! It was easy to get mopping and the result was a

Not going to BlogHer? BLOG HOP THEN!!!!

I figure I can join in this... It will be just as fun! When did you start blogging? I started blogging August of last year. I was always online looking at baby items... My hubby was deployed and I wanted a way to "talk to other adults" as well as share all the cool things I found online! It didn't hurt to see what other moms were using either, seeing as though I was a first time mommy! Why did you start blogging? I was always online looking at baby items... My hubby was deployed and I wanted a way to "talk to other adults" as well as share all the cool things I found online! It didn't hurt to see what other moms were using either, seeing as though I was a first time mommy! What is one thing you are going to do this week that is WAY cooler than going to BlogHer ? Only the best the world! Since Marc is home... safe on US soil!!! Watching him and Broxton play and laugh is better than going there... :) Share a post that you think says a lot about you or is

Aloha Friday - 46

Image
It is Friday! Time to ask and answer... Then ENJOY your weekend!!!! My question to you is pretty simple this week... Are you tired of the heat? I am! It is just miserable! Marc has to work out there in it and it worries me... But he can handle it... Me? I like the AC!!!! Poor Broxton hates being in the car... As soon as we get in, he starts fussing... It is just TERRIBLE right now... Today, my car read 105 degrees! Whew! So, how's the weather where you are? Don't forget to link up with other Aloha Friday bloggers ! Oh yeah, I had a blog makeover, so it is pretty easy to enter my contests now! Just click on the giveaways menu up top... I have 4 going on now and more to follow! :)

ToothSoap- Review and Giveaway

Image
How often do you go to the dentist? I hate to admit it, but I do not go as often as I should... Some people hate going there... But others LOVE going because their teeth feel just so clean after you leave! Let me introduce you to TOOTHSOAP . This stuff is like a magical potion! You know, when you want that dentist clean (and who goes to the dentist EVERY single day?!) This has to be one of the coolest things I think I have ever reviewed! So, what is " toothsoap ?" It is basically this little jar of liquid... You put a drop or two in your mouth and then with your wet toothbrush, you brush your teeth like normal. It lathers up and I am not joking, once you are finished, it really does feel JUST like you left the dentist! I tried it and was immediately like "WHOA!" I made my mom try it... Her response was... "Okay, go ahead and order me some!" The boys were here... Of course, I had them try it too... They all agreed, " It feels just like you left the d

Random Tuesday Thoughts

Image
It is Tuesday, right? I have a few random thoughts going through my head, so I figured, why not do a RTT post? Been awhile, I know! 1. My birthday is not to far... Yep! I am like a kid, getting excited! Not really sure why, I guess because Marc will be here this year! Kinda sucked turning the BIG 30 and the hubby being in the middle of a war... 2. So, McDonalds really made me mad! I know, that is what we get for going... Anyways, went to pick up food... left without checking (I know, do not get me started!) and at the red-light (that was not working by the way, once all the cars figured it out, we started having to maneuver around to get outta there!) I check the bag... Missing food, and what are these apple pies? Ugh!!!!!!!!!!! I called back, after being on hold the whole time at the red-light, I finally got a manager... Long story short, she told me to come through the drive thru and she would complete my order, no, she did not mention the pies.... I go back, the drive th

Breastfeeding Moms?

I tried to breastfeed... It did not work for us. I would nurse and nurse and nurse... and Broxton would still be starving. When I pumped, it was a guess as to how much would be there... Sometimes I could only get 2 ounces... Others it was 8 or 10. After a few months I had to give it up... BUT For those of you who do breastfeed, or plan to breastfeed, or need a great gift... Uddercovers is having a GREAT DEAL right now! It is breastfeeding week, so for right now, you can get one of their uddercovers for FREE! All you pay is shipping and handling... That is a $32 value! OR You can get their gift set for only $5. Just enter the code: Breastfeeding Head on over to check it out. It is totally legit, I actually ordered one the last time they ran this deal... You know, for WHENEVER we have another baby! :) (NO mom, you can relax - not pregnant!)
